Our programs

A roadmap, built one phase at a time.

Each phase depends on funding and our ability to grow. We move forward as donations, grants, and the community behind us allow — always with a veterinarian's judgment guiding the way.

Starting Jan 1, 2027Phase 1

Low-cost euthanasia & evaluations for horses

Our first phase brings dignified end-of-life care and prompt evaluations to the horses who need it most.

  • Low-cost, dignified euthanasia for horses owned by seniors 70 and over, people in hardship, and horses pulled from auction in need of immediate euthanasia.
  • Low-cost general evaluations for horses pulled from auction within five days of purchase, so owners and rescuers understand what care the horse needs right away.
  • Prior to euthanasia, every horse is evaluated by a veterinarian to be deemed ethically eligible.
  • A veterinarian's judgment about quality of life is central — no animal is asked to endure painful procedures that won't meaningfully improve its life.
Phase 2

Low-cost dog & cat vaccination clinics

Preventive care keeps small animals healthy and saves families from costly illness down the line.

  • Affordable vaccination clinics for dogs and cats, offered on a recurring schedule.
  • Core vaccines and basic preventive care priced within reach for the families who need it most.
  • A first step toward broader small-animal care, made possible as funding allows.
Phase 3

Full-service dog & cat clinic

A permanent clinic where everyday people can bring the pets who depend on them for everyday care.

  • A full-service clinic for dogs and cats, subsidized by donations and grants.
  • Preventative care, sick visits, spay/neuter, dentals, other minor procedures, and ongoing care offered at low and reduced cost.
  • Designed so that cost is never the reason a pet goes without needed treatment.
Phase 4

Horse rescue

A farm devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses — with a veterinarian's judgment at the center.

  • Safe haven for horses pulled from auction, neglect, or surrender.
  • Rehabilitation and training guided by veterinary care and quality-of-life decisions.
  • Rehoming to carefully matched homes — or lifelong sanctuary when that's the best outcome.

Available across every phase

The Angel Fund

As we grow through each phase, we're also gathering donations for an Angel Fund. These gifts provide funds — either through our own services or paid directly to another veterinary clinic — for a person and an animal in desperate need of emergency medical care.

The Angel Fund exists so that an unexpected crisis never has to mean an animal goes untreated, no matter where a family seeks care.

Angel Funds are available on a case-by-case basis. Each case is evaluated and discussed amongst the board, and demonstrated financial hardship is required for funds over a certain amount.

Help us move to the next phase.

Every gift directly funds the care our community can't afford on its own. Donations are processed securely by Zeffy, by Venmo at @George-Project, or by check to The George Project, P.O. Box 16, Hampton, NJ 08827.
